Caska, Island of Pag

Caska is located on the north side of the bay of Pag, in a historic bay, a few thousand years old. Caska is best known for its historic submerged town Cissa of which are still preserved ruins such as the tuner and the church of St. George on the hill above the town. On the west side of the bay were found the remains of tombs and mausoleums, and thousand years old anchors.

The theories of some historians claim that the mythical Atlantis was located in the area between Nin, Vir and Losinj, and that, 12,000 years ago it was a great center of civilization directly connected with Caska. Today in Caska is the most beautiful sandy beach on the island of Pag, along which there are restaurants and cafes.

Caska is in the immediate vicinity of Novalja (about 2 km) and the beach Zrće, of which is divided only a few minutes walking on a sandy road. Book your accommodation in this historical center and feel the breath of the past for which you want to return.
